The Grim Men
by Edgar Clinton Nov16.2014

The hunters stalk the darkness but
The darkness has put it’s claim on them
Mating occurs in the shadows, cause they strike from out the dim
World void of feeling, and drag home their kill…
Themselves and the innocent life….Then
Invent they are someone when every thing worthy of loving
That beat in their heart is done…

Dark exchanged for day, power for any chance at love
And the women are the worst
They become the most sexless, the de-sexed ones
No longer femme, but never to be men
Still she may marry one
Less man than senseless mannequin

What is real is then weaved into the deception
To make it stronger still.
These fools believe their weakness
Allows them the right to rule…

They are The Grim Men
The mark of the damned is stamped upon them
By the authority that is their own
That each one has to rise up, or cast down…
Even the ones that claim the light
As their own

Walk lightly, trod careful
Caution all around
I for one care not join this cult
Of the stalking and stalked, Brothers of the dark:
The Grim Men
