A side wants thousands of baseball results from the 1940s, and on and on altered:
A run here, a run there, and box scores and radio scores would contain:
A fan’s elevation ….
And that is a side, and there is another:
The one that wants:
The Spanish Civil War to end differently;
The Spanish conquest of Mexico to fail;
The African independence wars to have just lands, leaders;
The Mexican Revolution to have worked ….
All revolutions to have worked ….
Oh, those books, read and reread,
Same results, always ….
Same scores, same victories, same losses ….
