Piano On The Sandbar

On a chilly winter night
The ocean sighed and
Wished it could listen
To Moonlight Sonata
By Beethoven.

A school of silvery fish
Tickled its surface
Making it giggle
Will this be enough?
They asked.
No, not enough.
Was the reply.

Up in the sky
A chorus of stars
Twinkled, twinkled, twinkled
With all their might!
Will this be enough?
They inquired.
No, not enough.
It declared.

The moon’s pale
Reflection upon
Its calm waters
Offered it a tiny kiss.
Will this be enough?
No, not enough,
It stated.

An icy but playful
Breeze flew in
From the Artic,
Ruffling up some waves.
Will this be enough?
It wanted to know.
No, not enough.
It remarked.

A flock of seagulls
Transformed their cries
Into a lovely lullaby.
Will this be enough?
