Quantifying worms
Giving them names
Sanctifying some
On others heaping blame
I don’t know what to say….
Only that it’s always been this way.
Are we all so precious that we figure to escape
The weaponized past, seeming so innocuous now
As it curves from view as our brighter and brighter still tomorrows
Loose their lights upon the chosen heads…
Flowing on we wend through the bends, never looking back
To the stink and slaughter that was wrought upon our forefathers….
We are but the sons and daughters, of those unfortunates lost back in time
The clutch of the claws of yesterday do not reach into today
As tomorrow stretches farther and farther into blissful forever
What has been done never comes again.
…It’s lost forever and will no more haunt the carefree
Children of Men…
Of course I’m lying like a rug,.
Just like that lady on the clean our planet show
(You know carbon is a killer and all that)
Climate change or global warming take your pick
Whatever verbiage sells best…
No time to mention Mercury, Lead, GMO food
And the killing machine that murders a nation from the inside out….
No mention of hemp, the bio-fuel king
All the rest that don’t work blah, blah,
She blathers on and on ad nauseum…
Have I grown more subtle in time?
Could that be for really real?,
More perspicacious, able to leap tall propaganda
With a single bound into the clear heavens of common sense?
Even enlightenment
Or can it be with all the training over the hours and years
So much so-called education, that no one else than I knows what now is for real
And what is a low flight of fancy not even the low-flyers own?
Age makes an old buck easy prey
But his end matters less and less everyday
He’s rutted his best
Maybe a spurt left,,,
Time to make way, make way…
Tomorrow will have its day
But his mind links to the mind of the puma.
The big cat may have more to wait….
Buck knows him well
Down to the slightest tail flick
