I told you long ago

Who listens?

It’s all going up in flames

Or crumbling gently into time

And people are just no damn good

No, not even the best of them

They are born to let you down

Some of them know it

Some don’t know it…yet

Call it growth and understanding

Or the rise of the proletariat, either way

There ain’t no frigging game ain’t rigged

I’ve rigged a few…and

Every Gentile, every Jew

Pagan and polytheist and mono

Come one come all

You rig yours

They run mine

Let’s be as one

As we lose our minds

Rage into our days

Slip softly to the nights

Dark embrace

That eats the body’s meat

But first sucks away the mind

What god’s then will you take to your heart?

Political, mythological, traditional

Whatever the tribe has taught?

A tyranny of men

A tyranny of thought

At the end your soul is bought

And you were paid naught

I leave with little consolation

Though it is all I have got…

There is salvation waiting

Beyond your final thought
