If not in a gas and oil surge boom,
Then the cafés cut their hours, sometimes close.
Look through a dirty window.
Chairs upturned on dusty tables.
The wall menu blackboard smudged.
Not to reopen.
If short hours,
Orderly chairs, tables, fresh menu –
But lights out,
On late, off early ….
