Fast-forward my life
to the end
where sublime yesterdays
and haiku siestas
mean more than
prose-colored evenings
sit on my front porch
broken
-sad
legally blind
wearing a suit
-the same suit i wore
the day before
Beat up!
down and out
until my eyes are swollen shut
with no one around to
pick me up
only to beat me back down
beat me
for all the heartaches,
debts, and curse words
that met you
Fast-forward
my life and get
to the end
so I can
begin
to let you live
through
fairytale endings,
sunsets along the highway,
and moonlit humid nights
without missing
this beat.

I really like this poem. It is totally in my style of writing.
